This summer, Dimitris Zervoudakis is joined by Georgia Dagaki, a gathering that blends modern music from the north and south of Greece, music from Thessaloniki and Crete.
Two separate worlds united through the connected thread of creative and expressive passion and sincerity.
Zervoudakis and Dagaki, unite their voices by experimenting with each other’s repertoire and hand-picking songs from their respective genres.
From acoustic sounds to electrified rock, from deep rhythm to high energy tunes. From Greek folk music and “rebetiko” to experiential approaches in singing.
All originating in Greek musical tradition, performed with a Balkan twist, care, love and passion.
On Monday, September 6th, Zervoudakis and Dagaki will perform at Aischilia Fetsival, in Palaio Elaiourgio, in Elefsina, inviting us in an unforgettable live.
Zervoudakis is a singer and songwriter, with a unique presence on stage, with a history in Greek music that starts with band “Neous Epivates” and then as a solo artist, with memorable collaborations with important songwriters and singers. With a deep voice, he blends Greek folk with his rock influences.
Dagaki, is the first Greek singer that managed to be well respected and recognized internationally with a Greek folk instrument such as the Cretan “Lyra”.
With her skillfulness and bold performance, she collaborated with EricBurdon, Gordon Gano & Violent Femmes and Goran Bregovic, giving a greek touch on great rock hits, both in concerts and recordings.
