Dimitra Galani presents at the Old Elefsina Oil Mill on Wednesday, September 1st, a tribute to love songs, a journey through time and the world.

A musical wandering in love through songs that have enchanted us. Having recently completed or participated in very important projects (Chronos, Tribute to Xarchakos, to Vamvakaris, performances with the Vassilis Tsitsanis Orchestra), Dimitra Galani successfully presented in 2020 (at Megaron the Athens Concert Hall, and at Thessaloniki Concert Hall) a performance with “a different” perspective, more pop, more electric and clearly more “transnational”.

Working and sharing the stage for the last twelve years with the great artists-musicians of the younger generation, Dimitra Galani creates a music scene that travels us through love, a game of feelings and senses.

So, this company will surprise us once again with unexpected and innovative versions and arrangements giving birth to a new approach to the older material and bringing to light some of the most beautiful love songs of every era from the Greek and global repertoire.

Accompanied by her two younger-generation songwriters-performers, the Greek-Brazilian award-winning composer and songwriter Katerina Polemi and the talented composer Efstathios Drakos, Dimitra Galani compiles a wonderful love “dialogue” using songs constituting diachronic international standards, (Brazilian, Italian, English, French and mainly Greek), speaking directly to the heart, body, mind, senses: loving and pop – in the broader sense.

Special Guests: the songwriter and singer Pavlina Voulgaraki and the young debutant singer Dimitris Kopsis.
